A Happy Hooker at Heart

Every year as the weather gets colder, my fingers start to itch for yarn. My Pinterest board gets added to, and I start to veer slightly towards those yarn sections I had been strategically avoiding for the past six months.

Yarn shopping may be a bit of an addiction, but crocheting really is therapeutic for me. Using my hands to create a hat, a scarf, a granny square, is very satisfying. VERY.

And so I give in every winter. I make time, I make excuses, and out comes the hook and yarn and off I go.

Short attention span here, so I stick with smaller projects. But recently I’ve discovered “Crochet a Longs.” Designed with weekly/bi-weekly assignments, it feels like just the right amount of crafting, with not too big of a time commitment. Of course, I’m working on two different ones (technically, three, since I’m making two blankets in one), but I’m super excited.

Accountability, deadlines, socialization, and crochet! Happy girl right here!
